Premcem Gums Gandhidham facility is SMETA 4 audited & certified
/in News /by pgpl_adminToday, we have received the letter from Bureau Veritas India who conducted the audit for our Gandhidham site. We have successfully met all the SMETA 4 requirements and are SMETA 4 certified. The auditors have not given us a single non-compliance and nor any observation at the close of the audit. This is a proud moment for Premcem Gums and the entire team congratulates Ratilal bhai, Vinod bhai, Anviksha, Vigyan, Pravin bhai, the PGG team & the FHG Team who were working on this project.
Guar seed arrivals in full swing
/in Guar Market Update /by pgpl_adminGuar seed arrivals from the new crop are in full swing and the number for Saturday, 1 Nov 2014, touched around 150,000 bags. As a result, prices have been declining and have gone down by around 5% over the last 7 days. Although it is impossible to predict the “bottom”, we might be quite close to it and the current price levels present a very good opportunity to cover some volume for at least the next couple of months.

Financial contribution to the Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti
/in CSR /by pgpl_adminThe Chhaganlal Velji Charitable Trust has made a financial contribution to the Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti which provides low-cost lodging and boarding facilities for dialysis patients and their relatives.
For a lot of these patients, it is a bewildering and traumatic experience as they come from the lowest-income strata of society and due to lack of money they are forced to stay on pavements close to the hospital where they are receiving treatment. The Samiti helps them by providing low-cost accommodation, by assisting them with hospital admission and by providing orientation about hospital and medical procedures.

Education programme for farmers in Andhra Pradesh
/in CSR /by pgpl_admin125 farmers attended a half day programme on techniques of growing guar in Andhra Pradesh a area where guar is not traditionally grown by an authority in the field, Dr. D Kumar from the Central Arid Zone Research Institute.
Many farmers have successfully cultivated guar after this awareness and educational programme.
